Fatty thighs look better on babies

Boden had his 6 month check-up on Monday and we went to see Dr. L instead of the former pediatrician. While Dr. L is not as easy on the eyes, he doesn't make me feel like an unfit parent and even said "keep doing whatever it is you're doing" because Boden looks great, is growing well, and is right on developmentally. I'm not patting myself on the back, or anything, but he boosted my confidence a smidgen.
Boden weighed in at 15 lbs 1 oz and is 26 1/2 inches tall--average height and in the 10th percentile for his weight. Dr. L wasn't concerned about his weight since Boden is gaining weight. Todd, however, is concerned and is suggesting I eat a higher fat diet in hopes this will pass through my breast milk and into Boden's thighs and belly...my guess is the extra fat will bypass my mammary ductwork and head straight to my thighs and belly. So, at his 9 month appointment, Boden would still be in the 10th percentile for weight but I will have moved my BMI up a few points. Let's just wait and see how he grows because fatter thighs is not on my agenda...ever.
(The pictures are of Boden from this past weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Browns in a sweater I knit (yea, it finally fits--now that it's 70 degrees out) and of a woodduck couple we viewed from our deck. They were scouting out a nearby tree for potential nesting.)
