A dream come true

Yep, this post is a bit out of order, but that's how life is right now. I figure, I should take a step back and let the world know (or my three blog readers, at least) who this Boden fella' is. So, below is an excerpt from our e-mail announcement that pretty much sums it up:

For those of you who haven’t heard or don’t know all the details, yet, Todd and I are happy to announce that our son, Boden Douglas Brown, came into this world screaming his little cone-shaped melon off on Thursday, October 23, at 6:09 pm.
His weight upon arrival was 7 lbs 14 oz.

It’s been a bittersweet union as Todd and I are constantly reminded of all the precious moments of parenthood we missed out on with Ruby. We continue to hold a special place for her in our hearts and feel completely blessed that Boden is here to help us continue our grieving over her loss. We are so happy to have him with us and let us know how truly wonderful bringing a child into this world can be.

Boden is 3 days old now [now, he's 13 days old but the following still holds true] and we know that he likes to sleep most of the day and eat his way through the night (a true night owl like his dad), he doesn’t mind getting a cold nose (Sloan’s or Bueller’s) in his ear, he REALLY hates getting his diaper changed, and he is pretty much the sweetest, cutest, most amazing thing since sliced bread…yes, as his parents, we acknowledge that we’re biased. We look forward to our lives with him and are ready for all the joys and challenges he will bring.
