After a night of sleeping 5 straight hours in his bassinet followed by 3 straight hours of sleep in his crib, Boden celebrated New Year's Day morning with lots of smiles. He's 10 weeks old today and we've seen lots of changes in the last couple weeks--he's able to soothe himself and fall asleep at times without needing to be held or rocked; he smiles at people when they smile and/or talk pleasantly to him (I guess no one has talked unpleasantly to him--he might smile at that, too); he can see farther away and track people walking across the room; he makes eye contact; and he seemingly attempts to say actual words (Grandpa Doug and I both heard him say "hi" over Christmas--for real! Not that he's ever repeated it, but he will).
