As nature intended

Boden turned 9 months old this past week--I can hardly believe it. As he's able to express himself a little better, Todd and I have been talking about that age old topic of nature versus nurture. There's things Boden does that I'm beginning to think he's not going to grow out of and that are undeniably part of his personality...some of them endearing and some of them frustrating.

As a busy 9 month old, he is all about playing with anything that is not a toy...favorites include dog collars, Sloan's Kong (without treats), the dogs' water dish--maybe he's an animal lover.

He continues to assert his independence and demand to do things himself or refuse to do things we want him to do (like, cooperate while getting dressed or changing a diaper). In general, he's a happy camper as long as he's doing whatever he wants.

The video is of Boden hangin' in his crib with his precious friend, Monkey. Monkey smells like a real monkey sometimes and that's when we know it's time for Monkey to take a well-timed bath...he needs to be back in bed when Boden is or who knows what will happen.
