Oh, Henry!

Today, Boden and I had a playdate with my friend Jill and her 6 week old son, Henry. Finally, Boden was the big kid although he didn't feel like performing much while we were there. I fought hard for a smile and when it finally came out, it was a casual smirk, not one of his gigantic gummy smiles that make you want to melt. Anyway, Jill and I had a good time dishing about our favorite TV shows (Rock of Love the Bus, Top Chef, and Nip/Tuck were tops) and the "joys" of motherhood. The babies took turns crying and nursing (from their respective mothers). For the first time, Boden seemed to notice there was another baby present and started to cry when he heard Henry crying.

The picture of the boys was taken quickly between Henry's tears and I see that his mom put his hood up--Henry has a "horn"...it's a calcified spot on his head where it was squeezed together in the birth canal. It's off to one side and it's kind of funny and cute...the peds guaranteed it would disappear by the time he's a year old. I'm sure Jill hopes so.
