Meeting more family

This past weekend, we celebrated Christmas with the Tuckers and Boden met Rick, Erin and 3 of his cousins for the first time. It was a houseful of people and Boden handled it all pretty well--he had one fitful outburst of inconsolable crying on Friday night, but it was short-lived and he fell asleep shortly after. With all that stimulation, he just needed some quiet time.

Owen, who is 14 months old, didn't too much attention to Boden except for when one of his parents was holding Boden--then it was "hey, what are you doin' holdin' that baby?!".

Grandpa and Grandma Brown stopped by right before the Tucker clan was departing--it was a surprise to me but Todd was in a little on the plan. As we were finishing up the family picture, I look out the window and say "Hey, Todd your parents are here--did you know they were coming?". And then my nephew, Josh says "it looks like they're carrying a big carrot!". What?! My mom got red in the face and her eyes got big--she's got a poker face like me (i.e. we don't have poker faces).

Turns out my mom had schemed with Doug and Susie to make a carrot growth chart for Boden--it looks great and we hung it up in his room right away. A very creative gift that involved lots of people and their talents--we love it!
