How hot is it?

It's so hot out, the squirrels are putting ice on their nuts.  I told Boden this joke and he laughed and laughed, then asked, while still chuckling, "how are the squirrels going to get ice?".  Good question.  I said that's why we better lock our doors tonight, so the squirrels don't come in and steal our ice.  More laughing, "But they don't know how to use the ice maker."  I didn't know this joke was funny on so many levels!
