On the bright side, he did fantastic at his appointment, got an A for good looking gums and no tartar buidlup, and he even did a great job cooperating for his first x-rays, even though it took a few tries and was a little uncomfortable.

My first cavity
Oh oh. I can hardly believe this sweet smile has cavities. I wanted to cry when the dentist told me. Not only because it will require two appts (and I can think of better ways to spend our summer Monday mornings) to take care of these between the teeth cavities and it costs at least an arm for the dental work; but we take care of those little chompers: I rarely give Boden fruit juice or chewy snacks (I know these pop up elsewhere, but I don't think it's a regular thing), chewy candy is always banned on the premises AND we floss; not daily, mind you, but geez. I've told him no more fruit snacks if they are offered at school (because they certainly aren't brushing afterwards) and I guess we need to bump up the flossing at home.
