Christmas fa la la la follow-up

Here it is, the New Year and I haven't posted the Christmas pics, yet. Oh, well, here goes. Boden had a great Christmas this year--he understood who Santa was, he got to see him a couple times pre-Christmas (not too talkative in terms of letting the big guy know what he wanted, but he sat on Santa's lap without needing me on the other knee--that's progress), and made the trip the to both grandparents' homes without too much trouble.

Christmas elves: Boden + Owen
Couple highlights from Christmas with Grandma Cindy and Papa Leo:

• The 4 cows got out of their pasture (through the open gate, of course, nothing sneaky) and me, Todd, and Leo had a fun time getting them back where they belonged. The way the cows were jumping around like they had the dickens made it seem like they enjoyed giving the City Slickers a little work out, too.

• We went a wagon ride with a nice Amish man named Sam and his two horses, Dolly and Molly. Boden got to hold the reigns and "drove" the horses with Sam's assistance.

• Boden played with his cousin Owen and they were both incredibly helpful elves, assisting all of us when it was time to open gifts.

Couple highlights from Christmas with Nana and Papa Brown:

• As the youngest one by far, Boden helped deliver and open everyone's gifts

• Boden helped Papa make pancakes--a favorite activity for both

• Jason and I both got our butts kicked at cribbage by Todd (I tease that we let him win *wink*)
