| The day after -- look how happy we are :) |
Boden had his first sleepover at Nana and Papa’s house about three weeks ago. He went for an overnight but I’ve been on week-long camping trips that required less planning and baggage. It happened to be Boden’s second weekend of wearing no diapers, so I’m sure Nana spent half the time in the potty with him as I had the week-end before.
As soon as Boden was off to the grandparents, Todd and I hung up the “Off Duty” sign and went about our separate ways for much of the day: Todd busied himself with a massive yard project and I went to a yoga class I rarely attend (and worked out a li'l more afterwards), went to Target (and took my time reading labels and trying on clothes), cleaned a bit (never enough!) and did my extra-curricular work ( but it looks like I should have blogged, too, given my lack of posts!!). I’m certain Todd would have worked outside until dark but I summoned him in, got him cleaned up and fed and we headed to a movie—our first movie in a theatre for this year!

We checked in with Boden at bedtime and everyone was doing well. When I went to pick him up the next day, everyone looked moderately well-rested and had had a good time. Whew—first sleepover was a success!
