On Tuesday afternoon, G'ma and G'pa Brown came to sit with Boden while I took Bueller to the vet (long story but he basically blew out his knee and we found out today he needs surgery to get it repaired.). G'ma B spent the night so she could hang with Boden on Wednesday while I had some time to run errands in this flippin' frigid tundra in which we live. As long as I had an audience Tuesday night, I added a little extra tummy time to Boden's day. And he rolled!!
So, we have tummy to back down (see video) and he has the stomach muscles to roll the other way, too, but I don't think he's too motivated to go from back to tummy (yep, still not lovin' the belly).
This past week was rough in terms of sleep (and some days, his general disposition was in the toilet, as well). I think it was a growth spurt and I hope he's done with it for awhile. He's back to getting up 2-3 times a night--in the positive light, it means more one-on-one time with my little guy (yep, grasping for straws). He does seem to have a consistent bedtime down, though--asleep (for at least a few hours) by 7 every night. This, of course, limits our activities considerably but leaves us free for some adults only time in the evenings. (If the Caustons read this, they would say "See!" as we hassled them for years about having to eat dinner at 5:30 so they could be home for Petra's bedtime. Yep, guys, I get it--bedtime is sacred and when it goes well it makes our world right.)
